I know a lot of digital artists post their work in the public domain. I do
not. Posting on the internet does not make it free. My artwork is protected by
copyright law.
However, most of my artwork is posted here under a
Creative Commons
license.
Basically this means you can
reproduce and redistribute my creative works, as long as it is for
non-commercial purposes (commercial means anything for which money is
exchanged, regardless of whether you expect to make a profit) and as long as
full credit is given. Some works can also be modified freely, again as long as
full credit is given.
This means you are free to make brushes, stamps and/or PSP
tubes from my artwork but you cannot sell them, or the art you
create with them.
You must post the same license when distributing copies of
or modifications to works you have used under this license.
